Delicious and tagging

Catch up week- good idea... I had skipped the delicious activity and am now delicioused-out. I've social book-marked and tagged (with RULA20, of course) a selection of sites that may have value to me for Ryerson reasons. Very little overlap with other RULA 2.0er's choices. Some of the sites I go to frequently and a few are there just in case..The value is that the deleicious bookmarks follow me wherever I am.(as long as I remember my delicious login of course!).
cool app. overall.

LibraryThing Activity Day

I've had some fun with LibraryThing. It (LThing) can also eat up some time.
I have created a PEIsland Collecton from my home bookshelf, adding tags and comments and uploading covers (using my camera in some instances). I like the simplicity and flexibility of adding custom headings/tags and comments.I like the potential of LibraryThing- keep track of books you've read, books to read,
I've created , from existing sources, a Margaret McMillan collection, in advance of her visit with us on March 24th. Link to Margaret Collection: http://www.librarything.com/catalog/zita2

I will continue to use LThing for some apps and MAY even upgrade to the lifetime membership.(for a fee)

Tioram

Tioram Castle #3
Originally uploaded by mrlins

Doing a bit of Flickr-time today. I have found a surprising number of hits for my little Scottish castle project.

This photo is a nice one that gives a perspective of Tioram, surrounded by water and looking almost sunny! I found this one from a Creative Commons site on Flickr. I selected it 'cause it is framed in one of the ways I like (a little filtering of surrounding landscape).

I will contribute from my personal (family) photos also.

The possibilities of Flickr are staggering... in fact one can stagger into some serious territory here. whew, boy.

A pratical use of Flickr: using shared images for spicing up a Ryerson Library webpage .
